Pateley Bridge has been successful!

A massive thanks to all who have been supporting this campaign!

Pateley Bridge has received the fantastic news that it is in the top three of Best High Streets in the country in it’s category in the Great British High Street Awards. This prestigious competition now in it’s third year is run by the Department of Communities and Local Government and sponsored by British Land, the Post Office, Holland and Barratt, Boots UK, Google UK, Marks & Spencer, Wilko, Revo and Ellandi.

This year saw a record 900 entries and for Pateley Bridge to be shortlisted is already a magnificent achievement!

With limited time remaining to be voted outright best High Street in the country in it’s category and overall, Pateley Bridge now needs everyone who loves Pateley Bridge to get behind it and vote for it.

The voting starts today and ends on 18th November giving a chance for anyone to VOTE ONCE A DAY at http://thegreatbritishhighstreet.co.uk/finalist-village for free or go to www.pateley.co or www.pateley.co/vote

These votes will make up 50% of the judges marks, the remaining 50% of marks will be given by the judges who will be visiting Pateley Bridge in early November (date to be confirmed).

The benefits of the awards will be felt immediately as there is National recognition in the media and in the longer term there will be a real boon to the whole of Nidderdale with previous winners reporting a large increase in footfall and visitors staying in the area.

We hope everyone becomes involved in the process over the next few weeks by voting for Pateley Bridge and making the town look fantastic for the judges visit.

With limited time left, an open meeting has been arranged for 7pm on Tuesday 25th October in the upstairs meeting room of the Methodist Church, Ripon Road, Pateley Bridge. We hope as many people from the community will come along to hear more about the competition and to provide input and suggestions which can be considered with a view to them helping Pateley Bridge become the outright winners.

The Nidderdale Chamber of Trade hopes as many individuals, groups and organisations support Pateley Bridge in the competition on the final leg of what could turn out to be an incredible journey.
