Pateley Bridge – Best Place to Live for Second Year

Fantastic news! Pateley Bridge is listed for the second year in a row in the Sunday Times ‘Best Places to Live’ feature on Sunday 18th March 2018!

“This small town in Nidderdale, near Harrogate, is a rural idyll and has also kept its place after appearing in the 2017 edition of the guide. It’s close to Brimham Rocks and several popular walking routes pass through it. There’s also a leisure centre, great pubs, a thriving high street, artists’ studios and England’s oldest sweet shop, opened in 1827. In 2016, its high street was named Britain’s best in the village category.”

Keith Tordoff, Chairman of the Nidderdale Chamber of Trade said “This is a marvellous accolade for Pateley Bridge and impressive achievement for it to be included in this prestigious definitive guide for the second year in a row.  Pateley Bridge is a special place with the fantastic scenery of Nidderdale which is An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, also having an award winning High Street and a community who work together. The Sunday Times best places to live guide has taken account of what the area offers which in the case of Pateley Bridge is everything you could need”
