The Yorke Arms
Sitting at the end of Gouthwaite Reservoir by the river Nidd at Ramsgill, The Yorke Arms is a truly inspirational setting.
The building has a charm only the patina of time can bring and is a worthy destination of those seeking the outstanding natural beauty of the Nidderdale Valley.
Over the years it has acquired a huge culinary reputation and the food is an elevation of the very best local ingredients brought to an inspired level.
The Yorke Arms rooms appointed with equal flair allow guests to immerse themselves in relaxation for an effortlessly complete experience of cuisine, landscape and comfort.
It was an 18th Century coaching house but the site previously was a monastic cheesery dating back to the 11th Century.
It then belonged to the Yorke family until they disposed of their land and properties at the turn of the Century.
It had always been known for its tremendous hospitality and has proudly held a Michelin Star since 2003.
