Oldest Sweet Shop in England
The world famous Oldest Sweet Shop first opened its doors in 1827 and today is still selling and delivering quality traditional sweets and chocolates.
With almost two centuries of accumulated skill and knowledge to draw upon, it’s little wonder then that we have gained an unrivalled expertise in the world of confectionery.
As such, that recognition means we are regularly approached and featured in the media, including a host of TV programmes across the channels, as well as high profile newspapers and magazines in both the UK and overseas.
You’ll find our shelves packed with traditional old fashioned sweets such as humbugs, aniseed balls, pear drops, jelly babies, to the more recent addition of “retro sweets”, including cola bottles, popping candy and kola cubes.
Our sweets are made here in England, and the craft remains the original one, with “boilings” carried out in copper pans and using sweet moulds quite often over a century old!
