What to do in Nidderdale
There are many activities
for the visitor to Nidderdale.
Pateley Bridge Walking Festival
2010 promises to be an exciting year as it sees the launch of the first ever Pateley Bridge Walking Festival from Thursday 23rd – Sunday 26th September 2010
It has taken us a good 12 months to get this far, gradually turning a germ of an idea into reality. We really couldn’t have got to this stage without the enthusiasm of local people – both those ‘on the ground’ who kindly pledged their support and helped us apply for “Walkers are Welcome” status to local organisations such as the Pateley Bridge Town Council, Nidderdale Business Association and the Nidderdale AONB who were the first to see the potential of the event and provide funding towards it. Thank you all.
Visit Nidderdale Llamas
Llama trekking is very unique, great exercise and a brilliant outdoor experience. You cannot 'ride' a llama, but they make great walking companions and they carry your gear for you! A real alternative to pony trekking!
Rock Steady Adventure
Quality adventure activities in Nidderdale for adult and youth groups, hen and stag parties, and company away days. Activity days and residential programmes can include rock climbing, caving, gorge adventures and mountain biking.
Studfold Trails
Situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty, Studfold's Explore, Discover and Learn Trail has been designed specifically for families with primary school aged children who seek fresh air, fun and adventure in a truly unique setting.
